Perfect Pairings for Thanksgiving

We look forward to Thanksgiving almost as much for the wine as for the food. Picking the perfect wine to serve with your meal doesn't have to be a challenge, instead have a bit of fun with the unexpected.

 

For appetizers like fresh fruit and vegetables, or chilled seafood, we recommend Tangent "Stone Egg" Albariño. It's easy to drink and has a bright, crisp acidity.

 

When it's time for the main event, pour a beautifully, balanced Pinot Noir from Stephen Ross Wine Cellars. It pairs well with everything from turkey and stuffing to cornbread and cranberries.

 

If you're going for a non-traditional main course, Parrish Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is the perfect choice for accompanying New York strip steaks, prime rib or lamb. The creamy, richness of the meat creates wonderful harmony with the black fruit and pepper notes of the wine.

 

Don't forget dessert! Finish your meal with a glass of Zocker Late Harvest Grüner Veltliner for a perfect pumpkin pie pairing!

 

Wild card: For the vegetarian Thanksgiving, a Musqué from the Arroyo Seco region, such as Mercy Wines' Sauvignon Blanc, is the perfect choice.
