We're excited that summer is finally here and are making plans for the 4th of July holiday weekend. There are so many great events happening
throughout SLO County that it will be hard to choose!
On Saturday, July 2nd, Paso Robles is the place to be for the inaugural Paso Pops with SLO Symphony. This patriotic event will celebrate Independence Day with a Pops Orchestra, great wine and food, family-friendly activities and even a brief fireworks display set to music! Presented by the Paderewski Festival and in cooperation with the SLO Symphony, the event takes place at the spacious Paso Robles Horse Park.Ticket available at www.pasopops.com.
Sunday, July 3rd is a great day for art lovers. Art in the Park at Dinosaur Caves in Pismo Beach will host 100 artists and craftsmen. This great event overlooks the water and offers live music and BBQ as well. In Morro Bay the city will hold its annual Art in the Park weekend at City Park. Popular with locals and visitors alike, this show runs Friday through Monday.
And on Monday, July 4th what celebration would be complete without taking in a fireworks display? Cayucos is the place to be for a full day of festivities, beginning at 5am with a sand sculpture contest by the pier. Be sure to save your spot on Ocean Avenue for the parade that starts at 10am. Head back to the beach for fireworks in the evening, the show starts at 9pm and will fill the sky over the pier with an awe-inspiring display.
